Pakistan (2)

This will be the first time Pakistan has participated. I think we will bring to the world our own experience & media analysis that would add to the richness of the global data.

As the Team leader I feel happy that this process/ event will happen in Pakistan at Uks. Most of the participants will be researchers/ students. It was delightful to see young students full of enthusiasm for being a part of this global activity.

Beijing +20: In my opinion...

The most important contribution that the Beijing Platform for Action has made to advancing gender equality in and through the media is:

Setting global standards to which governments and the media can be held accountable
Bringing coherence to and greater understanding of civil society initiatives on gender, women and media
Raising the profile of work on 'women and media' as important for addressing gender inequalities in women's lived experiences.
