Why are you a GMMP coordinator? What motivated you to lead the GMMP?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After having participated in the 2015 and 2020 editions of the GMMP as coordinator of the monitoring of radio news programs, I am taking charge of coordinating the research for France for this new edition. I am honored to take up the torch following in the footsteps of Marl\u00e8ne Coulomb-Gully and C\u00e9cile M\u00e9adel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How are you using the GMMP methodology, tools and findings? How have any of these dimensions of the GMMP shaped the work of your organization, institution or network?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In coordinating the team, I can draw on my knowledge of GMMP methodology. In France, radio news programs represent 44% of the overall media corpus, and I have myself annotated radio on several occasions and trained other participants in the annotation campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What positive change has the GMMP driven in your context? What contribution has it made to the process towards gender equality in or through the media?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work carried out as part of the GMMP has been extended by several scientific publications in French-language journals (Le temps des m\u00e9dias<\/em><\/a>, Recherches en communication<\/a><\/em> and Communication<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also developed links with the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel, whose research and development department participates in the institutional barometers of the place of women in the media produced by ARCOM, which is the media regulatory body in France. In 2020, a press conference was held in Paris in the presence of researchers, journalists, and the minister in charge of equality between women and men. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we mark the GMMP\u2019s 30th anniversary now in 2025<\/strong>, why do you believe that it is crucial for the GMMP to continue?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is necessary to continue the commitment to the GMMP because it is currently the only independent international survey on the place of women in the media. The GMMP is part of the history of the struggle for women’s rights, and it is a tool that we must not abandon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pourquoi \u00eates-vous coordinateur du GMMP ? Qu’est-ce qui vous a motiv\u00e9 \u00e0 diriger le GMMP ?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir particip\u00e9 aux \u00e9ditions 2015 et 2020 du GMMP en tant que coordinatrice en charge du monitorage des matinales d\u2019information radiophoniques, je prends en charge pour cette nouvelle \u00e9dition la coordination de l\u2019enqu\u00eate pour la France. Je suis honor\u00e9e de reprendre le flambeau \u00e0 la suite de Marl\u00e8ne Coulomb-Gully et C\u00e9cile M\u00e9adel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comment utilisez-vous la m\u00e9thodologie, les outils et\/ou les r\u00e9sultats du GMMP ? Comment l’une ou l’autre de ces dimensions du GMMP a-t-elle influenc\u00e9 le travail de votre organisation, institution ou r\u00e9seau ?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans le cadre de cette coordination d\u2019\u00e9quipe, je peux m\u2019appuyer sur ma connaissance de la m\u00e9thodologie du GMMP. En France les matinales d\u2019information radiophoniques repr\u00e9sentent 44% du corpus m\u00e9diatique global et j\u2019ai moi-m\u00eame annot\u00e9 la radio \u00e0 plusieurs reprises et form\u00e9 d\u2019autres participant\u00b7es \u00e0 la campagne d\u2019annotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quels changements positifs le GMMP a-t-il entra\u00een\u00e9s dans votre contexte ? Quelle contribution a-t-il apport\u00e9 au processus de promotion de l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les femmes et les hommes dans ou \u00e0 travers les m\u00e9dias ?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le travail r\u00e9alis\u00e9 dans le cadre du GMMP a \u00e9t\u00e9 prolong\u00e9 par plusieurs publications scientifiques dans des revues francophones (Le temps des m\u00e9dias<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Recherches en communication<\/em><\/a> et Communication<\/em>). Nous avons \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des liens avec l\u2019Institut National de l\u2019Audiovisuel, dont le service Recherche & D\u00e9veloppement participe aux barom\u00e8tres institutionnels de la place des femmes dans les m\u00e9dias produits par l\u2019ARCOM, qui est l\u2019instance de r\u00e9gulation des m\u00e9dias. En 2020, une conf\u00e9rence de presse s\u2019est tenue \u00e0 Paris en pr\u00e9sence des chercheuses, journalistes et de la ministre en charge de l\u2019\u00c9galit\u00e9 entre les femmes et les hommes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans la perspective du 30e anniversaire du GMMP en 2025, pourquoi pensez-vous qu’il est essentiel que le GMMP se poursuive ?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il est n\u00e9cessaire de poursuivre l\u2019engagement sur le GMMP car il s\u2019agit \u00e0 ce jour de la seule enqu\u00eate internationale ind\u00e9pendante sur la place des femmes dans les m\u00e9dias. Le GMMP fait partie de l\u2019histoire des luttes pour les droits des femmes et c\u2019est un outil que nous ne devons pas abandonner ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
