Why are you a GMMP coordinator? What motivated you to lead the GMMP?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The democratization of the media is a focus of professional work and of my organization Calandria<\/a>, and we believe the experience of WACC’s global monitoring adds value to our experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How are you using the GMMP methodology, tools and findings? How have any of these dimensions of the GMMP shaped the work of your organization, institution or network?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calandria runs the Media Observatory<\/a>, and our experience and that of WACC inform each other. We have incorporated the GMMP methodology and used the results in our strategic work with journalists and the media, especially in training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What positive change has the GMMP driven in your context? What contribution has it made to the process towards gender equality in or through the media? As we mark the GMMP\u2019s 30th anniversary now in 2025<\/strong>, <\/strong>why do you believe that it is crucial for the GMMP to continue?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evidence of change or the persistence of problems demonstrated through the GMMP results is a great tool as there is little research on media or it is very narrow in focus. The fact that GMMP monitoring is done worldwide but also at a national level helps in seeing the concerns raised as part of a global movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
